ALEX J. HANCE BERRIOS Bib #411 He placed as number 473 and lives in COAMO, PR. |
Las Letras de Coamo are a local Marathon Tradition, they have to carefully pace their run to stay synchronized across the Marathon Route, not an easy thing to do! They add a local touch of pride and we all look forward to watching for them in the race every year! |
A wide shot shows how runners need to manage their path through crowded spots. Not easy when the spectators are moving around.
One of the Marathon San Blas' novelty runners, the runner pushing a baby carriage has moved up to pushing a stroller now. A dedicated Dad!
Plenty of police on hand to keep the roads clear for the race. They stand along the route all through the day. Relieved periodically by fresh faces while they take a break.
Just one of many providers of music and announcements working the race. Many such trucks ply the route with party music.
Wind Power has fanatics, too. This runner carried a hand-held wind generator. If you saw a recent electric bill in PR you would understand this perfectly!
The Pace Car runs just ahead of the pack. This shows the official pace time for the 15K mark of the half marathon.
There are Three pages of pictures: Two pages of runners pictures and one page with pictures of unique runners and people at the event. The menu at the top of these image pages has links to these pages and to the image pages from past years' Marathon Runners and Visitors - All our images use the CC3 image copyright protocol so you are free to download, copy and share our pictures for your own, non-commercial use. Enjoy!
This page is dedicated to the hearty souls that made the run on Sunday, February 3rd, 2013. They are in no particular order. They are simply a collection of our "Best Of" shots of the runners as they passed by. We try to do this a little better every year, but it is impossible to catalog all the pictures and crossmatch them with Official Results tables without a possible error slipping in - our data comes from online reports, not official results.
We have spent hours (days, actually) attempting to identify and label these images and sincerely apologize if any numbers were misinterpreted and caused errors in labeling. If you can identify any unidentified runners or correct any labeling errors - PLEASE let us know! We will be happy to correct any error.
