A very short post about the GUI (graphical user interface)
testing I’ve been doing over the last few weeks.
I’m now putting a polish to it, but I think this is a nice update to the original site design I did back in Alaska. I’ve learned a lot about Blogs, site design, SEO, social media, affiliate marketing and ‘scamming content thieves’ since I started this effort 2 years ago. My goal is to try and make it easier to get at the content viewers are after. While at the same time, leaving myself some ‘wiggle-room’ to add in even more dedicated pages and unique content.
The unique look of the site is unchanged, only the content will get better.
In the right-hand column is a new ‘Navigate the Dog’s Blog’ categories feature. I’ll be tweaking the list over the next few weeks.. adding a couple, dropping a couple.
I will be adding in new Pages too! Like- Puerto Rican Cuisine, Travel Photo Tips, Gardens of Puerto Rico and a Top 10 Most Favorite Places List. This will take a while.. but they are in the works.
Thar still be plenty to explore on this here Isle
I have yet to hit all the places I had hoped to visit in my first 5 week trip to Puerto Rico. That was way too ambitious, but I don’t sit on my hands.
I owe a special thanks to me First Mate for her input regarding site security, SEO and affiliate marketing ‘pit falls’ most newbies encounter. There is also the ‘bits of code’ she helped add to the WordPress CSS and site Theme I created with Artisteer.
Note: I’ve been stuck inside for the last 3 weeks.. it has rained every day since our trip to Jayuya. A total of 8.6 inches to be exact. You can’t even tell where I cleared off an area for a small veggie garden anymore.. the wild grass has overtaken it. Fortunately- today was dry enough for me get out and finally mow the lawn.
Hope you enjoy the upgrades, the Scurvy Dog
